Pillars Star Ali Voted NPFL Matchday 26 Wonder Goal

Kano Pillars midefielder Rabiu Ali has been awarded the winner of the VAT wonder goal for the Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 26, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Ali's strike against ABS in their 1-1 draw in Ilorin was voted ahead of goals scored by Tchato Giscard of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) FC and Abia Warriors’ Yakub Hammed who both finished in second and third places respectively.

Ali became the seventh VAT wonder goal winner after Ayo Saka (Rivers United), Ubong Friday (Akwa United), Salefu Ochowechi (Remo Stars), Pascal Seka (FC IfeanyiUbah) and Ahmed Usman of Wikki Tourists.
The Pillars playmaker polled 150 votes while Tchato picked 111 and Yakub 45 in the online polling conducted on the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) website and Twitter handle.

Ali who will quit bachelorhood this weekend in Kano will receive a cash reward of N150, 000, half of which wilk donated to a charity of his choice located within the state where the club is based. 

The Super Eagles African Nations Championship qualifiers  invitee is expected to be presented his award at a ceremony to hold before the start of Kano Pillars' matchday 29 fixture against Rangers International at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on Sunday.
