Paul Onuachu: Southampton stubborness not stopping Trabzonspor's interest

Turkish Süper Lig side Trabzonspor are making great efforts to re-add Nigerian center forward Paul Onuachu to their squad ahead of next seaseon despite Southampton's refusal of their initial bids, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com

The Black Sea team which gives priority to Paul Onuachu in the center forward position, continues to insist on this transfer, making great efforts to re-add the Nigerian striker, who wore the claret-blue jersey on loan last season, to its squad.

Southampton turned down Trabzonspor's offers for Onuachu and insisted on a €15 million transfer request which look unachievable for the Claret-Blues.

According to TRTSpor, Trabzonspor management have brought many formulas to the table, such as loaning with a purchase option, purchasing with a transfer fee and giving the player to Göztepe, in which Southampton has a majority stake.

More concrete developments are expected in the future. The lanky Nigerian forward scored 17 goals and provided 4 assists in 25 official matches for Trabzonspor last season.
