Paris 2024 Qualifier: Injury hits Falcons camp as Jumoke Alani replaces Plumptre

Published on: 01 April 2024

Coach Randy Waldrum will be without defender, Ashleigh Plumptre when the Super Falcon take on South Africa’s Banyana Banyana on Friday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Plumptre has been a stalwart in the left wing of the defense and over times had been outstanding in the team.

The versatile defender who recently returned to the team for the first time since the Women’s World Cup finals in Australia last summer, will be out of the double header against South Africa due to injury.

Jumoke Alani meanwhile has been announced as the replacement to the former Leicester City fullback.
