Paris 2024: Injured Plumptre returns to training, ahead of the Olympics

Al-Ittihad defender, Ashleigh Plumptre has returned to training intone for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Plumptre had been out for two months after success surgery on right leg.

Following the surgery, Plumpter started the therapeutic and rehabilitation program to prepare her for a return.

On Sunday, June 16, the left back took to social media to show off her recovery progress, squatting on a big ball with the caption, ‘me when Warren says “your turn”.’

She is expected to join the team's full training session before the end of the week.

He return welcome news for Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum as he intensifies the team's preparations for the Olympics.

Plumptre played a key role for Nigeria at World Cup earlier this year in Australian and New Zealand.

Her return to training will lift the spirits of the team and coaching staff, and is a significant boost to the Super Falcons' chances at the Olympics.
