Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu has been crowned the winner of the Turkish Super Lig Goal of the Month award for August, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Onuachu's stunning header in Trabzonspor's 1-1 draw with Samsunspor was voted the best goal of the month. This achievement marks Onuachu as the first recipient of the award in the 2025/26 season.
The 31-year-old forward has been in exceptional form since joining Trabzonspor from Southampton in the summer transfer window.
His impressive performance continued with a goal and an assist in Trabzonspor's 4-0 victory over Kayserispor on Friday.
Onuachu currently tops the Turkish Super Lig scoring charts with six goals and one assist from eight matches.
Trabzonspor vice-president Zeyyat Kafkas presented the award to Onuachu before Friday's game against Kayserispor.
Onuachu's recognition is seen as a testament to his outstanding contribution to the team's strong start to the season.
