On November 27, 1964 in Jesi (Italy) Roberto Mancini born. Before starting his technical career he was a player of excellent level: growing up in the youth sector of Bologna (club with which he made his debut in Serie A in the 1981/82 season), Mancini linked a great part of his career to Sampdoria, wearing the Blucerchiata jersey from 1982/83 to 1996/97. Then in the summer of 1997 the transfer to Lazio, where he remained from 1997/98 to 1999/00. At last an experience in England at Leicester City. Mancini has also collected 36 presences with 4 goals with the Italian national team jersey. In Serie A he finished with 541 appearances and 156 goals. In Mancini's career as a player we find: 6 Italian Cups (Sampdoria, 1984/85, 1987/88, 1988/89 and 1993/94; Lazio, 1997/98 and 1999/00), 2 Cup Winners' Cups (Sampdoria, 1989/90; Lazio 1998/99), 2 Serie A Championships (Sampdoria, 1990/91; Lazio, 1999/00), 2 League SuperCups (Sampdoria, 1991; Lazio, 1998) and 1 European SuperCup (Lazio, 1999). In Mancini's coaching career we find: 3 Italian Championships (Inter, 2005/06, 2006/07 and 2007/08), 4 Italian Cups (Fiorentina, 2000/01; Lazio, 2003/04; Inter, 2004/05 and 2005/06), 2 League SuperCups (Inter, 2005 and 2006), 1 FA Cup (Manchester City, 2010/11), 1 English Championship (Manchester City, 2011/12), 1 Charity Shield (Manchester City, 2012), 1 Turkish Cup (Galatasaray, 2013/14). He is coach of the Italian National Team since May 2018.
1994: Batistuta-record: on the net for 11 consecutive days.
On November 27, 1994, on the eleventh day of the first leg, Gabriel Omar Batistuta broke a historic record of the Italian soccer championship, scoring for the eleventh consecutive match (13 goals his total loot), surpassing the previous record - 10 rounds a row - held by Ezio Pascutti (Bologna), in the 1962/63 championship. The garage-record was Fiorentina-Sampdoria 2-2, with the Argentine on goal on penalty at 60'.
