Nigeria Super Falcons played out a goalless draw against Cameroon Indomitable Lionesses in the first Leg of the third round of the Olympic Qualifier in Douala, Cameroon on Saturday night, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

In a half dominated by the hosts, goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie proved vital to keep the score goalless at half time at the Stade de la Reunification.

In the second half, the Falcons took the game to the Lionesses as  Coach Randy Waldrum made 2 substitutions bringing in Jennifer Echigini for Esther Okoronkwo while Halimatu Ayinde left for Toni Payne.

Echegini made instant impact when she thought she had the ball in the next but the match official ruled out for offside in the 54th minute.

10 minutes later, Echegini set up Oshoala on the edge of the box but her effort was easily gathered by the Lionesses goalkeeper.

More changes were made by the Coach of the 9-time champions of Africa, but the ascendency garnered by the team in the second phase yielded no fruit as the score remained goalless after regulation time.

There is now all to play for in the second of thus fixture as the two teams will lock horns on Monday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
