Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has maintained that he has no fears over Nigeria’s chances of progressing to the quarter-finals as of the Africa Nations Championship as they face the Syli Stars of Guinea on Tuesday at the Muganda Stadium Rivabu.

Speaking before his team's Monday training session in Ribavu, Oliseh said he has no intention of returning home yet, adding that his vision to win the trophy remains unchanged.

He admitted that Super Eagles will be up against a very good Guinean side but expressed confidence in the ability of his players to rise up to the occasion, adding that he will not be playing for a draw against the Syli Stars. The former Juventus midfielder maintained that he is happy with the performance of his players so far in the tournament having won one and drawn one to garner four points, adding that his loving attitude towards his players will remain the same irrespective of what happens against Guinea.

“I'm happy with our performance so far and I can assure you we have been working hard in this tournament," Oliseh said.

“We are playing against a very good side tomorrow, but I will still be proud of my players irrespective of what happen but I have much confidence in my players to deliver the goods on the field of play.”

A draw for Super Eagles confirm their qualification to the quarter finals while Guinea need a win to qualify.
