Published on: 18 July 2024

Tom Dele-Bashiru have signed a new two-year contract with Watford, with an additional one-year option, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The 24-year-old midfielder, who joined the Hornets in 2019 from Manchester City, has proven his versatility by playing both in central midfield and at right-back.

Dele-Bashiru made 38 appearances and scored three goals last season, following a loan spell at Reading in the previous campaign, where he netted four times in 39 matches.

Despite facing injuries, including an ACL setback in 2020/21 and a truncated 2022/23 season, Dele-Bashiru has committed his future to Watford, where he made his debut in August 2019 and scored his first goal in the FA Cup against Tranmere Rovers in January 2020.
