Official: No AFCON on DSTV as SuperSport Loses Broadcast right

South African sports channel SuperSport, will not air the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023, citing an inability to secure broadcasting rights for the tournament, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The competition, scheduled from January 13th to February 11th, 2024, will not be featured in live broadcasts on DSTV.

Multichoice Africa, SuperSport's parent company, conveyed in a statement that AFCON 2023 matches will be accessible through their affiliated broadcast partners on Free to Air (FTA) channels.

Known for its extensive coverage of premier football leagues such as the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, Zambian Super League, and more, Multichoice Africa remains a key player in delivering top-notch football content to audiences.
