NPFL: Plateau United Beat Kwara United, MFM Hold Rangers

Nigeria Professional Football League champions Plateau United moved into the top half of the table following a 2-0 win against Kwara United in a rescheduled match day 13 encounter  at the New Jos Stadium on Thursday.

Tosin Omoyele pounced on a through ball in the 20th minute and fired the ball past Kwara United’s goalkeeper Jonah Usman to open scoring.

Raphael Ayagwa make the points safe, converting from the spot five minutes from time after Saidu Idris fouled Omoyele in the box.

The Jos club moved from 11th to eighth in the table following the win, while Kwara United dropped from 19th to the last position.

The defeat was Kwara United’s first under new coach Abubakar Bala.

In another rescheduled match day 13 encounter, Enugu Rangers were held to a 0-0 draw by MFM at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu.
