NPFL: Doma United, Niger Tornadoes have smooth rides away from home as Rangers continue fine form

There were wins on the road for Doma United and Niger Tornadoes while Rangers International maintained their fine form after the matchday 28 set of matches played in the Nigeria Premier Football League on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Doma United piped Akwa United at the Godswil Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo 1-0 courtesy of a Emmanuel Jesam’s early goal.

Jesam capitalised on the hosts' goalkeeper failure to grip an ariel to slot in the ball on 5 minute, a goal which proved enough to take all points at th end of the day.

In Benin, it was a shocker as Niger Tornadoes ended Insurance's almost 2 decades of home unbeaten run with a comfortable 1-3 win at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

Tornadoes were in front as at 13 minute with a goal from Chidiebere Ernest assisted by Clinton Jephta before Akintunde Azeez doubled the lead on 45 minute assisted again by Clinton Jephta.

A minute later Azeez turned the provider for Clinton Jephta to put Niger Tornadoes in th driving seat at the end of the first half.

Chukwudi Meze pulled one back for Insurance on 85 minute, but it proved only a consolation at the end of the match.

Meanwhile, Rangers International continued to dominate after 10 matches as they secured another win beating Sunshine Stars 2-0.

Goals from Kalu Nweke on 39 minute while Onyebuchi Ifeanyi scored the second on 70 minute.

The Flying Antelope are now 3 points top of the log after 28 matches.
