North African giants USM Alger arrive in Nigeria for CAF Confederation Cup clash

USM Alger, the Algerian football powerhouse, has touched down in Nigeria ahead of their crucial CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final first-leg showdown against Rivers United, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports:

The team arrived at the Victor Attah International Airport in Uyo on Friday morning, aboard a chartered Air Algerie flight.

The highly-anticipated match is set to take place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Sunday, with kick-off scheduled for 2pm local time.

Following this encounter, the return leg is slated for Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the Stade du 5 Julliet Stadium in Algeria.

Meanwhile, the African football governing body on Thursday announced the final of the competition to be Sunday, May 12, 2024 and the second leg being the following weekend, on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
