NNL: Okwusah Chuks's late goal saves Ijebu United's blushes as Madiba remain top of group B despite loss to Vandrezzer

Ijebu United scored a late goal to avoid defeat against Ikorodu City in Conference A as Madiba FC suffered another defeat, but remained top in Conference A of the Nigeria National League matches played on Saturday and Sunday respectively, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Salau Yusuf scored for the Oga Boys directly from a corner kick in the 18th minute, but Chuks scored the equaliser at the dead of the game to end the tie 1-1 at the Dipo Dina Stadium.

The result leaves Ikorodu City third on the log with 15 points, a point adrift Crown FC and InterLagos FC while Ijebu United are 7th with 12 points after 9 matches.

In Akwa Ibom at the Uyo Township Stadium, Vandrezzer FC secured a 1-0 win over group leaders, Madiba FC.

A goal from Nelson Moses in the 90th minute sealed the win for the Lions who remained in the drop zone of group A with 12 points after 10 matches.
