Nigerian Striker Fanendo Adi Back To Scoring Ways For Portland Timbers

Published on: 19 June 2016

Super Eagles invitee Fanendo Adi got back to scoring ways for his MLS side Portland Timbers netting in the 29th minute of their 2-2 draw against Real Salt Lake. Adi last scored on the 29th of May 2016 in Portland Timber’s 1-1 draw against Chicago Fire and has endured a goal drought since then no thanks to injuries and fitness issues.

25 year old Adi is well on course to better his last season tally thanks to a flurry of goals in the first five games of the season.

His goal against Real Salt Lake was his 9th of the season from 15 games, 9 goals short of his overall league tally of last season with over 20 games left to play this season.

He is linked with a return back to Europe this summer where he will be hoping for better fortunes if he secures a transfer back to where he started his professional career as his spells in Ukraine,Denmark and Slovakia didn’t yield much in terms of success.
