Nigerian Defender Abubakar Terminates Contract With Finnish Club PS Kemi

Nigerian defender, Aliyu Abubakar has terminated his contract with Finnish top division club, Palloseura Kemi Kings also known as PS Kemi

Abubakar, a former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles defender who joined the club from Georgian outfit Dila Gori in 2017 cited family reasons for canceling his contract, according to a statement on the official website of Palloseura Kemi Kings.

“Nigerian defender Aliyu Abubakar has canceled his agreement with the club due to family reasons,” the statement reads

“The club however states that it performed all its obligations under the contract to the player, including visits to a doctor, as long as the player has indicated such need.”

Abubakar played 13 games for Palloseura Kemi Kings last season scoring a goal and providing one assist.

He also played for FC Ashdod in Israel; Tunisian side, CA Bizertin and Kuopion Palloseura in Finland.

He made five appearances for the Golden Eaglets at the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup held in the United Arab Emirates.
