Nigeria fails to win third place at Africa U17 championship, Guinea defeat Eaglets 3-1
Nigeria failed to finish third while Mali won the competition

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets failed to finish third at the CAF U17 Championship after they lost 3-1 to Guinea on Sunday.

However, both Eaglets and Guinea will feature at the FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile in October.

The Eaglets scored first in the 28th minute through Victor Osimhen.

It was his fourth goal of the tournament.

However, Guinea drew level courtesy of Aboubacar Toure in the 34th minute.

Abdoulaye Jules Keita then grabbed a brace in the 39th and 53rd minute to kill off the game for Guinea.

Even after getting their goals Guinea stayed in attack in search of more goals.

Both teams played out a 1-1 draw when they clashed in the group phase of the competition.
