NIGERIA are hoping to convince Manchester United youngster Tosin Kehinde to commit to them.

The midfielder is eligible to represent England but the African nation are keen to get him on board.

The 18-year-old was born in Nigeria but was raised in England where he was snapped up by the Red Devils.

Kehinde is said to be one of the brightest prospects in United's academy and he has represented the club at under-18, under-19 and under-21 levels.

And the Super Eagles are proactively trying to get in touch with the teenager's camp to discover his plans.

Team Nigeria UK boss David Doherty told allnigerian.com: "We are aware of Tosin Kehinde, the midfield player at Manchester United

"He was born in Nigeria, when we speak to him we will know his options.

"We are sure he will opt for Nigeria, his own case will be easier for us and we hope to get him at some point."
