Their challenge was undermined late on when Uche John was sent off for a second bookable offence.
Reward for the Solid Miners, who reached the second round of this year's CAF Confederation Cup, is a place in the grand finale of the men's version of the competition.
The women's final had earlier been established, with last year's runners -up Bayelsa United set to clash with Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt.
