After Liverpool made easy work of West Ham, the FC crew examine what makes the Reds capable of challenging Man City for the Premier League title. Mohamed Salah opened the scoring in the 19th minute and Sadio Mane added two more goals as Liverpool went on to win 4-0 against West Ham. ESPN FC's Paul Mariner calls Liverpool's attacking prowess against West Ham "a joy to watch", hailing the debut of newcomer Naby Keita. Jurgen Klopp was pleased with how new signing Naby Keita complemented Liverpool's midfield in his debut against West Ham. Jurgen Klopp says he was surprised to see just how much better off Liverpool would have been if luck wasn't a factor.

Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren will be out for up to three weeks after aggravating a pelvic issue during the World Cup, manager Jurgen Klopp said.

Lovren returned to Merseyside last week after helping Croatia to the World Cup final but has been unable to train with the first team.

"He is not fit. Let me say it like this, last year he already had a few problems with that but he could obviously play -- and played really good," Klopp said after Liverpool's 4-0 win against West Ham.

"Now in the World Cup, [playing] three times [for] 120 minutes it got a bit worse, but I am pretty sure it will settle in the next one, two or three weeks.

"In that time he can probably for sure train already, but not the full programme, so that will then take time."

Lovren is likely to remain on the sidelines until after next month's international break, which means he will miss Liverpool's league matches against Crystal Palace, Brighton and Hove Albion and Leicester City.
