Despite being heavily linked to join Atletico Madrid, Rafa Mir joined Sevilla during this summer transfer window. Interestingly, this also gives Barcelona a chance to sign another forward.

Julen Lopetegui's side is going to have massive firepower by Mir's arrival. After all, the Wolverhampton Wanderers player has many capabilities in doing so.

However, the Spain international presence in Los Nervionenses has also become a threat for Luuk de Jong. Lopetegui is expected to not give enough playtime for his current striker.

According to Sport, this condition could create a great opportunity for LaLiga rival, Barcelona. Barca still need another qualified player after Lionel Messi departure.

The fact Blaugrana already had many strikers, each one of them still not close enough to fill Messi's place. Martin Braithwaite has been linked with a move away, and Sergio Aguero still in an injured state.

Sadly, the dream of Barcelona to sign Luuk de Jong would be complicated. The club is still in financial troubles because their debt already reaches €1,2 billion. Meanwhile the Sevilla star is still under contract for two more seasons and is valued at €10 million.
