Ranieri Praise ‘AirPlane’ Ahmed Musa

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has described new Nigerian signing Ahmed Musa as an “airplane” and believes the player’s speed will be a huge asset to the team.

The Foxes completed the £18million signing of Musa from Russian club CSKA Moscow last week and Ranieri has already dubbed his team the ‘RAF’ (Royal Air Force) due to their rapid style of play and abundance of speedy players.

“Musa can bring his speed, I don't know if he's as quick as Jamie Vardy, but he has lots of speed,” the Italian manager told the club’s official website from their preseason training base in Austria.

“It's very important to have another airplane in our squad. Remember, we are the RAF and we've signed one of them!”

Musa is but one of several signings for the Premier League champions, who have already acquired the likes of Nampalys Mendy, Luis Hernandez and Ron-Robert Zieler as they look to boost their squad ahead of competing in the UEFA Champions League.
