Asante Kotoko Operations Manager George Kennedy expects Dunkwa United FC to qualify to Ghana Premier League in no time.
Kennedy was impressed with the quality of football exhibited by the Division One League campaigners after losing 2-1 in the Elite Cup competition.
He told Dunkwa-based Solar FM: “Honestly, I would say that their performance against us was on a higher side given Kotoko’s pedigree as against Dunkwa United’s. Judging from how proceedings went, I have to admit that they played very well against us
“This is the first time I have watched Dunkwa United play and so I can’t say much because this is just one match. But as a team, I do not know whether they are consistent in their performances or not and more especially so given the importance teams attach to matches involving them and Kotoko.”
He added that: “Dunkwa United struggled a little bit in the first 20 minutes of the game but they confidently came back strongly into the game and made it theirs. If the team continues to play like the way I saw them play, then I have no doubt that the club would soon play in the Premier League.”
