It all started on Saturday when the Interim club’s committee appointed and unveiled the former Sporting Lagos coach and the government before the end of the day disbanded the committee.

With the decision, Offor’s position became shaky.

According to Wasilu Kawo, a member of the club's media and marketing committee, the State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, cancelled Offor's appointment due to irregularities in the hiring process.

Kawo stated on the official platform of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kano chapter, that the contracting and unveiling of Offor were conducted without proper consultation with relevant government arms responsible for overseeing the club's activities.

While Offor remain silent on the matter, Kano Pillars will be expected to resume trading in a week’s time and the reality will then be obvious.
