Alex Iwobi came off the bench to score for Arsenal in the club’s 3-1 victory over Stoke City in the English Premier League on Saturday.

The 20-year-old replaced Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the 69th minute of the contest decided at the Emirates Stadium and took just six minutes to make his mark.

He played a one-two with Chilean marksman, Alexis Sanchez on the by-line and showed great endeavour to reach the ball before curling, right-footed past the Stoke City goalkeeper, Lee Grant.

Iwobi endured a slow start to the season but finally got off the mark for Arsene Wenger’s men for the first time this term in midweek when he netted against FC Basel in the Uefa Champions League.

The goal he scored on Saturday was his first for Arsenal in the Premier League this season.

Iwobi scored two league goals for Arsenal last season.
