Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey was resolute in between the sticks as his Portland Timbers side were held 1-1 at home by Gershon Koffie’s Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS Cascadia derby.
Kwarasey came out and made a great kick save in the 16th minute to deny Vancouver forward Kekuta Manneh.
Koffie lasted the entire duration of the match.
It was a hard-fought and contentious game Saturday night, but for the third time this season, the Timbers failed to walk away with a win over the Whitecaps.
Portland scored first, but Vancouver found the equalizer as Portland at Providence Park.
With the draw, the Timbers snapped a five-game home winning streak. Portland remains unbeaten in its last seven games at home.
