Inter ready to hand young ace new deal

Sebastiano Esposito looks set to be an Inter player for the foreseeable future as the Nerazzurri have opened talks on a new contract.

The 17-year-old is considered one of Italy’s brightest young stars, with the likes of Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain having shown interest in securing his services over the past few months.

Inter have turned down all offers from interested parties, and Tuttomercatoweb reports the Nerazzurri have already opened talks with agent Augusto Carpeggiani regarding a new deal.

Esposito’s current contract runs until 2022, but a new agreement would see the youngster receive a hefty pay increase thanks to his exploits so far this season.

The new contract would run until 2024, however it isn’t expected to go into effect until next summer when the striker turns 18 years of age.

So far this season Esposito has filled the void left by Alexis Sanchez’s injury, featuring in seven matches in all competitions for Inter.

He scored his first goal for the club on his full debut on December 21, 2019, netting from the penalty spot in a 4-0 victory over Genoa.
