Inter in talks for Manchester United captain

Manchester United full-back Ashley Young could be set for a shock move to Inter.

The Nerazzurri are keen to land a wide player for the second half of the season as they continue their push to dethrone Juventus, however their attempts to land Marcos Alonso from Chelsea has not yielded results.

Sky Sport Italia reports Inter have found an alternative in Young, with the Italian side having already reached an agreement with the 34-year-old on a 18-month contract.

It is believed Antonio Conte is a fan of the Englishman’s versatility, as he would provide depth on both flanks.

Young is out of contract at the end of the season, and it’s believed United would only ask for a small fee to let him go before then.

As a result a deal could be finalized in the coming days as both sides continue talks. Should Young join Inter he would reunite with Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku, who both moved from United to the Nerazzurri in the summer.

So far this season Young has netted one goal in 18 appearances in all competitions for United.
