It looks like Wolfsburg and Switzerland full-back Ricardo Rodriguez will leave the German club this summer after sporting director Klaus Allof's comments that were published by "?Swiss paper "?Blick.
Allof confirmed that "Rici has stated that his future is not with us" before insisting that the club "can live with this decision."
Having already completed the signing of Rodriguez's former team-mate Granit Xhaka, Arsenal are one of three clubs who Blick name to be interested in the defender. The two other teams following the 23-year-old Swiss' movements, who is believed to have a release clause of £25m, are European champions Real Madrid and Italian side AS Roma.
At the age of just 23, Rodriguez has already accumulated 135 Bundesliga appearances with a further 27 European outings. He is currently on international duty with Switzerland at Euro 2016, following a disappointing domestic season for Die Wolfe, which saw them fail to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League.
Having been at the club since 2012, Rodriguez is contracted with Wolfsburg until 2019. However it was reported by "?Cadena Cope that the full-back's father had met with Real Madrid President Florentino Perez and director Emilio Butragueno in April earlier this year admitting that his son wanted to go to a bigger club, with Spain a "great option".
Wherever Rodriguez sees his future, his performances in a Wolfsburg shirt over recent seasons warrant the interest that some of Europe's biggest clubs are showing him.
