West Ham United Chasing Highly-Rated Marseille Youngster Georges-Kevin N'Koudou

Published on: 03 June 2016

"?West Ham are "?reportedly preparing a bid for Marseille winger Georges-Kevin N'Koudou.

The Hammers are willing to offer £10m, although the asking price could be higher, and they could face stiff competition for the Frenchman's signature from both Liverpool and Manchester United.

All three clubs had representatives present during Marseille's French Cup final defeat against PSG last month, where N'Koudou played for the last 10 minutes.

N'Koudou, who scored five times in Ligue 1 and four times in the Europa League, could actually be available for a lower fee, with the club having been put up for sale back in April, and the owners could be forced into selling the 21 year-old winger.

West Ham are moving into the Olympic Stadium next year, and are hoping to attract some star names to London, with Alexandre Lacazette and Michy Batshuayi both having been linked with Slaven Bilic's side earlier this summer.

N'Koudou has impressed in Ligue 1 this year, with his strong dribbling ability and eagerness to tackle earning him plenty of admirers.

He moved to Marseille in 2015 from Nantes for a fee of £1m, making his French U21's debut in the same year and is yet to play for the senior side.

While West Ham will be keen to improve their squad after an impressive showing in the league during the 2015-16 season, finishing seventh, the spending power of the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United could prove too much to compete with over the summer.

N'Koudou's efforts helped Marseille finish 13th during a disappointing season for the French club.
