West Ham Ready to End Flop Simone Zaza's Loan Deal in Order to Bring in New Strikers

"?West Ham United are attempting to cut short Simone Zaza's season-long loan deal in a bid to bring in another striker in January, according to "?ESPN.

The Hammers are desperate to offload Zaza, after the misfiring striker has failed to find the net in nine appearances, since he completed a move to the Premier League from Serie A Champions Juventus.

Manager Slaven Bilic has toiled to get the best out of the 25-year-old during his time at the Olympic Stadium, but the Croat is now ready to sever ties with Zaza, as he looks to bolster his attacking options with new recruits in the January transfer window.

The fact that West Ham will have to sign Zaza permanently in a £20m deal, if he plays another five times for the East London club, is only adding to the club's urge to send him back to his parent club.

Zaza has come in for criticism from Hammers fans and the media for his lacklustre displays, and the forward is believed to have already become disillusioned with life in the capital due to the nature of the flak he has received.

It had been hoped that Zaza would be the answer to West Ham's prayers after fellow strikers Andy Carroll, Diafra Sakho and summer signing Andre Ayew were all struck down with injury at the start of the season.

Zaza, though, has failed to live up to expectations and, with Ayew now fully fit and both Sakho and Carroll not too far away from returns, the former Sassuolo front man could find regular game time even harder to come by, after losing his starting place to makeshift forward Michail Antonio in recent weeks.

Clubs in Zaza's native Italy, such as AC Milan, have been rumoured to be interested in taking him off West Ham's hands, but whether Juventus will play ball with the Irons' wishes to tear up the 12-month loan deal - particularly with the Serie A champions set for a cash windfall if that appearance clause is triggered - remains to be seen.

Inter Milan attacker Stevan Jovetic is one of a host of names linked with a possible move to West Ham in January.
