West Ham Fans Perplexed by Angelo Ogbonna's Strange Tweet After Hammers Capitulation Against Watford

Published on: 11 September 2016

It has been a sobering few days for West Ham United fans after watching on in horror as their side defended woefully to allow Watford to snatch a well-deserved 4-2 win at the new London Stadium.

Things went from bad to worse as a small section of supporters started a brawl during the match, with West Ham condemning those involved in the ugly scenes and promising lifetime bans for the perpetrators.

And to top it all off, Angelo Ogbonna decided to tweet one of the most bizarre pictures, minutes after the devastating defeat against Walter Mazzarri's side.

Much to the confusion and undoubted frustration of the Hammers supporters, the Italy international inexplicably posted a reminder of the tough loss.

The former Juventus defender didn't start the match, but it didn't protect him from the ire of the Hammers fans who did not hide their anger at both the peculiar picture and the defeat.

@OgbonnaOfficial cheers mate forgot the score

.@OgbonnaOfficial This tweet will definitely get you picked for the next game mate I'm sure.

Hahahaha why did he tweet this? ? @OgbonnaOfficial

Ogbonna hasn't offered an explanation his strange tweet and some fans are speculating it could be a message for Slaven Bilic to play the defender more often.

@OgbonnaOfficial may have got something out the game if you were playing

@OgbonnaOfficial You should have been picked mate, we missed you today. Onto the next game Angelo ??

Bilic's men head to West Brom next Saturday in the hope of picking up a much-needed win. Whether Ogbonna plays, remains to be seen for now.
