"?According to reports from Italy, Watford and Hoffenheim are leading the chase for Genoa midfielder Isaac Cofie, whose contract runs out at the end of the season.
"?TuttoMercatoWeb have claimed Hornets boss Walter Mazzarri is a huge admirer of the 25-year-old. The Italian apparently first noticed the Ghanaian when he was on loan at Chievo two years ago.
Cofie has only started four games for Genoa this season and is said to not be seen in current boss Ivan Juric's future plans.

Watford are currently 10th in the Premier League and - despite their top-half spot - have experienced an inconsistent opening half of the season.
Victories against Everton and reigning champions Leicester showed the threats the London side possess going forward. However defeat against strugglers Sunderland showed the weakness the side have in defence, especially when a few players are out injured.
Many predicted that Mazzarri would make a move for a defensive minded player in January, though, few would've seen Cofie as his first choice. Watford already have Etienne Capoue and Valon Behrami in the holding midfielder role and both are similar to the style of Cofie.
Whether Mazzarri will decide to sell a midfielder to make way for the Ghanaian remains to be seen, but the speculation about the deal shows a sign of intent from the Watford boss.
Watford fans will just be happy that there is positive news coming out of the club after all the drama evolving around their mascot Harry the Hornet and Wilfred Zaha.
