The Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Hon Bukola Olopade, has refuted claims that the Super Falcons have not received their tournament bonuses, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
According to Olopade, all entitlements have been paid, with only a few cases pending due to banking issues.
Olopade made this clarification during an appearance on Arise News TV's 'The Morning Show', stating that he had personally spoken with team captain Rasheedat Ajibade and officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to confirm the payment of bonuses.
He emphasized that the NSC prioritizes the welfare and remuneration of athletes, ensuring that all commitments are met.

The NSC boss also addressed concerns about the $100,000 reward promised by President Bola Tinubu to each player, assuring that the payment would be made.
Discussions are reportedly underway to fast-track the process of delivering the rewards, including three-bedroom apartments.
Olopade's statement aims to put the matter to rest, reassuring fans that the nation's champions will receive every promised benefit for their historic WAFCON triumph.
