Twitter Goes Crazy as Marcus Rashford Hits Glorious England U21 Debut Hat-Trick

Published on: 06 September 2016

Yes, "?Sam Allardyce was watching. Marcus Rashford reinforced the popular opinion that his talents should be utilised at senior level for England by scoring a glorious hat-trick in the U21s 6-1 thrashing of Norway.

The treble was the fourth competitive debut in which the exciting 18-year-old has scored in, lighting up Tuesday evening's encounter at Colchester United.

Allardyce, who dropped the Manchester United starlet from his first England squad for the 1-0 win over Slovakia, watched from the stands as Rashford carved open the opponent's defence with an ease and precision not regularly seen by those who were favoured over him by Big Sam.

As one would expect, Twitter was abuzz following Rashford's treble. Here's some of the best tweets.

First of all, the truth.

Marcus Rashford has taken every every opportunity he has been given at every level. Convinced he is the real deal.

Marcus Rashford has scored for @England under-21s. Wonder if our new England boss will ever be brave and veer away from tried and failed.

This should be the one and only time Marcus Rashford plays for the U21s...

In coming on to clinch a last-gasp winner for United against Hull City last week, Rashford pretty much guaranteed himself a starting berth for the derby against City this Saturday. In netting a hat-trick for the U21s, he has effectively zoomed his way into the reckoning for England's next World Cup qualifier, at home to Malta on October 8.

This kid does himself a lot of favours.
