Mauricio Pochettino is willing to let Nabil Bentaleb leave White Hart Lane in order to reunite with Southampton central midfielder Victor Wanyama, according to HITC Sport.
The young Algerian prospect has failed to make an impact in the Tottenham side this season, featuring only 10 times for the senior side in all competitions.
It is reported that Bentaleb is a major target for Italian side Napoli, after a disappointing season with only 158 minutes of action in the Premier League.
Bentaleb recently signed a new contract with Tottenham last summer that keeps him at White Hart Lane until 2020, but it seems an exit is likely this transfer window.
On the other hand, the Kenyan midfielder Wanyama has had a blistering season with Southampton finishing 6th in the Premier League and being one of the side's key players.
"?
It has been reported that the 24-year-old has been linked with a move to Tottenham, if they decide to let go of Bentaleb.
"?
Pochettino is familiar with the Kenyan midfielder, having worked with him at Southampton during the 2013-14 season, where the Argentine manager had an impressive campaign resulting in a move to the North London club.
"?
Victor Wanyama has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal in previous seasons, so it may be difficult to recruit the African holding midfielder.
"?
Tottenham finished 3rd this season, however, the side have looked shaky without their Belgium midfielder Moussa Dembele, so an addition to the midfield area maybe the answer to mounting another successful title challenge.
