Torino Set to Give Liverpool Target Andrea Belotti €60m Release Clause in New Contract

"?Liverpool are reportedly preparing a €22m bid for Torino striker Andrea Belotti in the January transfer window, although it seems the Italian club are drastically increasing their demands.

According to "?Calciomercato, Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring the 22-year old to Anfield in the winter after an impressive start to the Serie A season.

The Italian international has already scored five times for Torino this season and has attracted interest from Liverpool as a result.

Despite the interest, though, it seems Torino are keen to keep any potential offers at bay by offering their star striker a new deal that includes a staggering €60m release clause.

"?Tutto Mercato have reported that the club's chairman, Urbano Cairo, is determined to tie Belotti down until 2021 and include the hefty release clause in the process.

Whether it will be enough to put off interest from the Premier League is as yet unclear, as is whether Belotti himself is willing to remain at the club.

Nicknamed "?Il Gallo' "? the rooster "? for celebrating with his hand on his head to replicate a comb, last week he scored his first Italy goal in a 3-2 World Cup qualifying victory in Macedonia.

In an interview with "?La Gazzetta dello Sport, Belotti claimed that he idolises Andriy Shevchenko despite having been compared to Italian greats such as Gianluca Vialli in the past.

"My hero was Andriy Shevchenko. I went to San Siro with my brother Manuel and it was like watching some kind of Saint. Diego Maradona could've been on the pitch and I would only see Shevchenko.

"I've studied so many strikers. I'd love to have the cool head of Mario Gomez, the ability to shake off defenders of Fernando Torres, physicality of Didier Drogba and movement of Sergio Aguero."?
