Cristiano Ronaldo will play in the fourth Champions League final of his illustrious career in Milan on Saturday evening when Real Madrid meet Atletico Madrid to fight for the single most iconic trophy in club football.

As one of the most recognisable people in global sport and one of Nike's star athletes, Ronaldo will once again be centre stage in the biggest game on the annual football calendar.

It was Nike Mercurial SL Carbon for Ronaldo in his first appearance in the Champions League final. He leaped highest to open the scoring for Manchester United in Moscow, with his team later coming out on top in the penalty shootout to claim the trophy.

Ronaldo was back in the final with Manchester United a year later, this time sporting red and silver Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly as he and his team-mates took on Barcelona in Rome's Stadio Olimpico. The Catalans emerged victorious, but it only made CR7 hungrier for success.

Having scored 16 goals en-route to the 2014 final, it was only fitting that Ronaldo scored a record 17th wearing Nike Mercurial Vapor IX in the showpiece itself. It capped off a 4-1 Real Madrid win over city rivals Atletico and secured the club's elusive Decima, sealed at long last.
