Swansea City Defender Neil Taylor Urges Talisman Gylfi Sigurdsson to Snub Leicester City Interest

Swansea City defender Neil Taylor has revealed his side are desperate to hold on to their influential Icelandic midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson amidst interest from Premier League winners Leicester City.

Sigurdsson, 26, is currently preparing with the Icelandic national team for the nation's first major tournament after they secured qualification for Euro 2016.

His future is expected to be decided upon his return to South Wales after this summer's tournament.

Leicester City enjoyed a quite incredible season, winning the Premier League against all odds and will have to keep up with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City - all of whom have new managers and a hefty transfer budget.

In order to keep up the pace Ranieri's side have turned their attentions to Sigurdsson to bolster their team, but Swansea City defender Neil Taylor has urged their star midfielder to stay in South Wales.

Don't want to become a selling club? Simple. Keep Gylfi Sigurdsson, insists Neil Taylor https://t.co/I1vfi5hfjb pic.twitter.com/ligvdHzHD8

"We are desperate for him to stay. We are desperate for all our best players to stay and add to that, that's what we want to do,"? Taylor is quoted in The Mirror as saying.

"We don't want to be a selling club. The Premier League means you don't have to any more with the money that has come in.

"But once you do well you are going to get linked with the top teams and Leicester happened to win it, so that's just the way it goes.

"Hopefully we can hang onto him and a few other players "? Andre Ayew is another one, there are a few."?
