Striker Carlos Bacca Reveals PSG 'Tried to Sign Him' But Is Now Focused on Succeeding With AC Milan

AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca has revealed that Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain attempted to sign him during the summer, but their efforts were in vein as they had already filled their non-EU quota, Goal.com reports.

The Colombia international, 30, enjoyed a fruitful spell in Sevilla under Unai Emery for two years before heading to the San Siro, where he has managed similar success, despite the club's ongoing problems.

The striker has revealed he would like a reunion with the now PSG manager and while he is happy with Milan, he shed light on an approach from the Ligue 1 giants that ultimately failed during the summer.

"Emery is the most important manager I've had during my career. The best one too," he told Cadena Ser.

"He has improved my performances, I always felt at ease with him, because he always trusted me.

"He's also a good friend of mine, maybe this is the secret of such an excellent relationship.

"I'd like to work with him again in the future. But I am only focused on AC Milan at the moment.

"PSG made a great choice appointing him. They also tried to sign me. There were contacts with my agents, but the deal collapsed as they had no slots available for non-EU players."

The former Sevilla forward has started the Serie A campaign in blistering form, scoring three goals in as many games.

His form in front of goal - which includes 18 goals in 38 Serie A appearances last season - has not stopped the Italian giants from enduring a poor start to the campaign as they have only picked up three points from a possible nine.
