"?Switzerland and Stoke City winger Xherdan Shaqiri believes that England can end their 50-year wait for an international trophy by winning Euro 2016.
He told Stoke City's official site that the Three Lions are capable of securing the title thanks to a blend of talent, youth and experience.
Roy Hodgson's men breezed through qualification to cement their place at this summer's tournament, winning all 10 of their qualifying matches en route to France.
And Shaqiri, who featured in both qualifying Group E fixtures against England, says a first European Championship could be on the cards for Hodgson and his charges.
Shaqiri said: "For me England are one of my favourites for the title at the Championships because they have a new, young and exciting generation of players who are very good.
"They are a very talented group and I really think they can have a really good tournament, and even go on to win the title.
"Of course it is going to be tough just as they have found out before, because they maybe haven't been as successful as they would have liked in previous competitions.
"I think they will want to make up for that and the fans will be hoping for that too.
"There are a lot of good teams in the tournament but as I said before England, along with France, are definitely one of the teams that I really think could be incredibly successful."?
England kick off against Russia on June 11, before tackling fellow Great Britain side Wales on June 16.
The Three Lions end their Group B campaign against Slovakia on June 20, before finding out if they've done enough to progress to the knock-out rounds of the competition.
Shaqiri joined Stoke from Serie A outfit Inter Milan in July 2015, and scored three goals in 32 appearances in his maiden campaign for the Potters.
