Solomon Rondon stole a point for West Brom with an injury-time header, leaving Stoke without a win in six Premier League matches. After Joe Allen had put the Potters into a deserved lead, Rondon headed home a corner to again highlight Stoke's ineptitude from set pieces.
There was a lively atmosphere at the bet365 Stadium, and Stoke began the game well with spells of early pressure. Two free kicks, both on the right hand side in a dangerous area, came to nothing for the Potters, whilst Eric Pieters has a penalty shout waved away by Martin Atkinson as Stoke looked to find gaps in a resolute West Brom defence.
The only real chance of the first half fell to Glen Johnson, when Wilfried Bony's flick landed at his feet in the West Brom box. His shot looped over Ben Foster, but Craig Dawson headed the ball off the line. At the other end, but for a number of corners, the Baggies failed to have any significant moments in the Stoke penalty area.
The second half started with tempo. Joe Allen's header was deflected over the bar by Dawson, and Pieters had yet another penalty shout turned down by the referee. Stoke were moving the ball well, but West Brom remained organised.
Mark Hughes looked to his bench on the hour, bringing on Peter Crouch for Bony. The former England striker went close from another Shaqiri free kick, but poked the ball wide at the back post.
As the game developed it became more stretched, with West Brom venturing forward slightly more. And just as they did, Stoke found their much deserved breakthrough. Shaqiri whipped a great cross in from the right, the ball fell at the feet of Joe Allen, and the Welshman produced the finish.

West Brom responded, and it took a good stop from Lee Grant to keep out James McClean's downward header in the 77th minute. The Baggies continued to push, and found the net in the dying minutes, with Solomon Rondon capitalising on Stoke's set piece weaknesses to score.
