"?Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is "?preparing a move for Juventus playmaker and West Ham United target Roberto Pereyra, according to a report in "?HITC.

According to reports from various media outlets in Italy, Pereyra is thought to prefer a move to White Hart Lane due to Spurs' inclusion in the Champions League next season, whereas West Ham will be playing in the Europa League.

West Ham are currently looking to spend big to mark their move to the Olympic Stadium next season and it appears as though Pereyra is their top target for this season.

Reports from Tuttosport in Italy suggested that the Hammers had made an offer of £11.5m for Pereyra in an attempt to lure him to the Olympic Stadium. However, it is also reported that Juve would be looking for a fee in the region of £13m-13.75m for the Argentine international.

Pochettino is said to be looking for a playmaker to act as cover for stars Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli for their Champions League campaign and Pereyra, who can play in central midfield or out wide, represents an attractive option with experience in Europe's top competition.

Pereyra, 25,  was on the books at River Plate in Argentina and Udinese before moving to Turin and although he hasn't been a regular first choice for the Italian champions, he did pitch in with six goals and five assists last season.

At international level, Pereyra has made 10 appearances for his native Argentina, and achieved a runners-up medal during their 2015 Copa America campaign.
