"?Aleksander Ceferin, head of the Football Association of Slovenia since 2011, has been named the new president of UEFA, formally succeeding disgraced former chief Michel Platini. Angel Maria Villar has been serving as 'acting president' since October last year.
Ceferin, 48, had a background in law before moving into football and beat off competition from 68-year-old Dutch candidate Michael van Praag to take charge of European football's governing body following Platini's public fall from grace.

Speaking to "?ESPN earlier this week, Ceferin had pledged to make changes to the the length of time officials can hold their positions, as well as addressing match fixing and the bidding processes by which major competitions and finals are assigned.
""?First and foremost, I will look to change to the UEFA statutes to include term-mandate limitations for the president and UEFA executive committee. I don't believe that officials serving for 20 or more years in such key positions is healthy for any organisation," he said.
"I would put more emphasis on battling match fixing, which is a disease on our sport, by introducing more security and integrity.
"Thirdly, I would change the bidding process for big competitions and finals for the Champions League, European Championship and other major events. This needs to become completely transparent."
