Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero has revealed he has had conversations with players who have worked under incoming Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, namely Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi, as reported by the Daily Mail.
The former Barcelona boss will be succeeding departing boss Manuel Pellegrini when he manages his final match in his three year tenure against Borussia Dortmund in the German Cup final.
It will be another game where the Spaniard will have the chance to add to the extensive trophy cabinet he has amassed since his debut campaign for Barcelona in the 2008/09 campaign.
During his trophy-laden period with the Catalan giants, the former Barcelona B coach managed to win 14 trophies in his four years there, including three La Liga titles and two Champions League titles.
Guardiola's impact, however, is further emphasised in his work with five-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi and the Argentinian has told his international colleague, Sergio Aguero, what he can expect when Guardiola arrives in Manchester.
"Lionel Messi has told me he is very impressive and other players with whom I have spoken have said the same,"? Aguero said. "I think he is a coach who will put a lot of pressure on the players and we need that.
"There is a reason that the club invests in important players and then a coach is very important"? We hope that Pep adapts to the club and decides how we are going to play. But it is fundamental that next year we advance a bit more."?
Despite comfortably clearing the 20 goal mark in the Premier League again, Aguero and his team mates were unable to secure the title in what could only be deemed as an unsatisfactory season for 2013/14 champions.
They started off brightly with five wins in their five opening matches, conceding zero goals in the process, but their form tailed off with uninspired performances from the players.
