"?German outfit Schalke 04 sent 50 crates of beer to amateur club Wedeler TSV following a domino effect which left the poor team without a coach.

Now there's an idea for a transfer fee...

Anyway, it all began when Schalke hired Markus Weinzierl from Augsburg in June. That sent a ripple through the German leagues, from the Bundesliga all the way down to the amateur division.

Complicated story that, but the tweet below explains.

"?"?Wedeler's director of sport told German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine that he rang Schalke's director of sport and outlined two options as compensation: 50 crates of beer or a friendly match between the two clubs.
