"?Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has been hugely complimentary towards himself after his impressive 2015/16 with the Toffees, by rating himself as one of the finest strikers in world football.

The 23-year-old enjoyed a very fruitful campaign in front of goal, scoring 25 times in all competitions, with 18 of these coming in the Premier League, but Lukaku could not prevent Everton from finishing 11th with Roberto Martinez being sacked.

The Belgian is set to lead the line for his country as they embark on their Euro 2016 adventure, with the striker finding the net in their recent friendly, a 2-1 win over Switzerland.

The Everton man ranks his last 12 months as his finest in terms of personal achievement, "?according to the Daily Mail.

"I'm among the best. That's good. Personally I am happy," Lukaku said in an interview with the June edition of World Soccer magazine. "I did expect to produce a season of this calibre."

He has been heavily linked with a move away from Goodison Park this summer, with a number of top European clubs said to be interested, but his future is likely to be decided after the Euros.

Lukaku is optimistic of Belgium's chances at the international showpiece, with the Red Devils currently fifth favourites for the majority of bookies and the striker is looking forward to potentially facing off against his domestic teammates.

"They are happy to be going to France and warn me that they are going to make life difficult for us. I jokingly reply that we won't be easy meat."

Belgium's first opponents in France are Italy on June 13 in one of the most anticipated fixtures of the group stage.
