"?Arsenal look set to keep goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny tied to the club for another season, with reports from Italy suggesting that the Polish stopper will be loaned out to Roma for another season rather than a permanent move being agreed.
The 26-year-old joined the Gunners as a teenager a full decade ago, spending three seasons as the club's leading stopper before being ousted by David Ospina around the turn of 2015, and went out on loan to Roma when Petr Cech arrived that summer.

Now "?Di Marzio reports that the two teams are closing in on a deal which will extend that loan deal by another season, keeping Szczesny tied to the Gunners in case they want the option of using him to replace Petr Cech if the 34-year-old's age begins to catch up with him.
The loan spell will give Szczesny a chance to continue improving himself with first-team football rather than stagnating in the Arsenal reserves or on their bench - a fact which was not lost on the Pole when speaking to Italian newspaper "?Il Tempo at the end of last month.
Speaking after helping Roma to a third place finish in Serie A, he said: "I know where I will play next year, but I can't reveal it yet. If I stay at Roma, it'll be an opportunity to grow and improve even more. If I return to Arsenal, I'll make use of my experience in Italy.

"I learnt more in four months under Spalletti than in 10 years in England. He puts a lot of importance on details and wants the goalkeeper to be able to play the ball with his feet."
