"?Ex-Manchester United and England defender Rio Ferdinand has said his former Mexican teammate Javier Hernandez always knew he'd never be the number one striker at Manchester United.
Ferdinand was speaking to "?BT Sport when he said, "I think, at Manchester United, he always felt there was someone else in front of him, There was a Wayne Rooney, a Robin van Persie, there were strikers that he felt were always going to be number one, no matter what he did."
Chicharito was often referred to as the 'super sub' at United and scored 57 goals in 159 outings for the Red Devils and spent his final season at United on loan at Real Madrid before signing for German side Bayern Leverkusen for £7.3m with a three-year-deal at the German club.
Hernandez has scored 33 goals for Leverkusen since joining and will return to England when his side play Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League later this year - the pair drew 0-0 on Tuesday night in Germany.
Leverkusen have had a mixed start to the season with three wins in seven, which sees them sit tenth in the table, but only three points off a European place. Next up for the German side is Hoffenheim at home on Saturday.
