"?Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane is commonly known to be a big fan of rising Borussia Dortmund star Ousmane Dembele, with several reports over his admiration of the player emerging over the last few weeks.
Zizou cast a vote for Borussia Dortmund's youngster at the recent French Player of the Year awards, and it's been rumoured for a while now that Zidane wants to bring the player to the European champions at some point.
Reports from the "?print edition of Marca, however, deriving from a separate report by the same paper earlier this month, claim that Zidane may well have the opportunity to get his hands on the young star next summer as Real Madrid have a first option clause to buy the player from his current employers.
Dembele has scored four times in 15 Bundesliga appearances for Dortmund so far this season following his arrival from Rennes in the summer, and no player under 21 has been directly involved in more goals in Europe's top 5 leagues to date. Dembele's figure stands at 11.
Digging up the initial report from "?Marca earlier this month, it suggests that an agreement between the two teams mean that Dortmund will not be allowed to sell Dembele - or other star players Julian Weigl and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, for that matter - to any club, without letting Real Madrid know the details first.
It's made to ensure Real don't unknowingly miss out on any of the three players as they look at potential players to sign next summer. The friendship that exists between Florentino Perez and president of Dortmund Reinhard Rauball is believed to be a key factor behind the agreement.
